Meet Your Maine & New England Wedding Photographer
My passion for photography started as a hobby— I took portraits with friends for fun all throughout middle school. I started taking high-school senior photos in 2014, and M.Thornton Photography was born. This hobby quickly spiraled into a business that I dove into head first right out of college in 2022, and I haven’t looked back. As my business grew, I found a deeper passion for working with couples and documenting intimate, special memories that they can hold onto forever. I cannot imagine doing anything else.
Not only is creating art one of my favorite pastimes, but I get to do it with some of the coolest humans. Capturing the beauty in everyone’s unique story is the passion that drove me to the wedding industry, but the connections that I make along the way are what keep me inspired.

When I’m not behind the camera, you can find me treasure hunting in a thrift store, sipping on some espresso, or deep in a true crime binge.
I’m constantly looking at the sky— I’m such a “omg, look at the sunset” and “wow, the clouds look so cool right now” kind of person.
As an only child, I’ve mastered the art of independence (and maybe talking to myself a little too much).
I’ve been pursuing photography since I was 13 years old.
I’m a Taurus— so I have an unshakable appreciation for good food and cozy moments.
